Conduct

1. Whilst taking part in an Event, you accept and agree that you will be a representative of the Charity and the Event Organiser. You therefore agree to adhere to all local laws and regulations.

2. All representatives are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly and acceptable manner and not to disrupt the enjoyment of others. Any representative who causes or is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any other representatives or any third party, or damage to property, or cause a delay or diversion to transportation, (in our reasonable opinion) shall be removed from the Event and any liability we have to that representative shall be terminated immediately.

3. The representative accepts and agrees that where the reputation of the Charity and/or the Event Organiser or any of the suppliers involved in the Event is at risk of being brought into disrepute by the representative, we shall have the right to refuse registration and/or remove the representative from the Event with no further liability to the representative.

4. All representatives agree that they must work within UK laws and regulations of fundraising and that any breach of these laws may result in dismissal from their fundraising Event. All donors must be informed if their donation is to be used, in any part, towards the costs of the challenge if the participant chooses not to self fund the 50% of the fundraising total that forms the approximate cost of the challenge.

5. If a representative is found to be involved in fraudulent or illegal activities whilst fundraising for the Event, the relevant legal and statutory bodies will be informed. The representative accepts that they will be removed from the Event and any costs associated with the removal shall be borne by the representative.

6. The representative acknowledges and agrees that the Charity's Fundraising Code of Conduct ("Code") forms part of these Rules and agrees to adhere to the Code. The Code can be accessed here.

The representative confirms that he/she is physically able to undertake the Event and accepts and agrees that where it is clear (in our or our supplier's opinion) that the representative is unable to meet the physical requirements of the Event, we shall have the right to refuse or remove the representative from participation in the Event.

8. The representative agrees to follow all written and verbal rules of safety or otherwise presented to them at any time before or during the Event either by us or our supplier(s).

Fundraising and Promotion

9. Representatives agree that their place on the Event is dependent upon them raising the amount agreed with us prior to registration, and their place on the Event is not guaranteed until this target is met by the stated deadlines specified, and agreed to, by the representative, during the registration process.

10. The representative accepts that no claims shall be made to us or any of our suppliers for reimbursement of expenses incurred for any charitable collection or fundraising activities.

11. The representative understands and agrees that where a designated voluntary team leader is appointed to assist with fundraising support, such leader is appointed in a volunteer capacity only. Any view, opinion or otherwise are those of the volunteer leader and not necessarily the views or opinions of the Charity or Event Organiser.

12. All representatives must be aware that the Charity is bound by UK charity law to safeguard funds once donated to the charity. As such, representatives accept that all donations in relation to fundraising targets are therefore ineligible for refunds even if the representative does not participate in the Event.

13. All representatives agree to make donors aware that they are making an irrevocable gift to the Charity when soliciting donations.

14. The representative understands and accepts that where a donation is made in disputed circumstances, the donor has recourse to write to the board of trustees of the Charity. If the board of trustees agree with the disputed donation, representations can be made to the Attorney General via the Charity Commission. For more information on this process, please view the Charity Commission website (https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/charity-commission ).

15. Representatives agree that Gift Aid will not be counted towards their fundraising total.

16. By registering to be a participant in an Event and becoming a representative, you shall, as a representative of the charity, promote the charity and its mission wherever possible.

17. Representatives shall not release any information concerning the Charity to members of the public, without prior approval from the Charity or the Event Organiser's communications team. Representatives accept that failure to adhere to this rule may result in their removal from the Event.

18. Representatives agree to wear clothing which identifies you as a participant and representative of the Charity for recognition and security reasons, as and when requested to do so by the Event Organiser.

19. Representatives accept that following an Event, they must uphold the reputation of the Charity and Event Organiser and act accordingly.
