EXTENSION TRAVEL

After summiting the world's highest freestanding mountain you have the opportunity to discover more of what Tanzania has to offer. Enjoy an adventurous safari in Tarangire national park and see if you can spot the 'Big 5', then head down to the beautiful island of Zanzibar to enjoy the crisp blue Indian ocean.  

 

Our highly experienced local suppliers have been arranging these Extension Travel packages for our groups since they became our climb partners in 2015 and they know just what you need after the climb.

To book these excursions your respective supplier will ask for a $200 first instalment payable by 31st May 2021, this initial payment will secure your place and then you will pay the remaining balance in USD cash upon arrival in Moshi.

Option 2: Safari and Zanzibar

$1,150 (10+people) / $1,250(<10 people)

 

Day 1 | Moshi - Tarangire

Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s largest national parks and comprises a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs and up to six thousand elephants. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park. You will spend overnight camping within Tarangire National Park.


Day 2 | Tarangire - Moshi

In the morning you will enjoy more game viewing before commencing your drive back to Moshi. Expected driving time between Moshi and Tarangire is approx. 3-4 hours each way.


Day 3 | Moshi - Zanzibar

Travel to Zanzibar via road to Dar Es Salaam and then a ferry to the island.


Days 4 – 7 | Zanzibar

Full days to enjoy the resort, bar, ocean or organize additional day trips. This may include scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming with the dolphins, visiting Prison Island or Stone Town.


Day 8 | Stone Town & Travel Home

After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel for a day trip of Stone Town. From Stone Town you will be taken to Zanzibar airport for your flight home.

Day 1 | Moshi - Materuni

This green village welcomes visitors to explore the beauty of the land and cultural heritage of the Chagga people. A cultural experience such as coffee roasted the traditional way can be added to your hike for a small additional cost of $ 5 per person.


Day 2 | Moshi - Chemka Visit Chemka Hot Springs (Maji Moto)

The clear, turquoise waters of the Chemka Hot Springs, an oasis of geothermal warmth surrounded by lush forest alive with birdsong and the call of monkeys, allow you to ease those tired legs.


Day 3 | Moshi - Zanzibar

Travel to Zanzibar via road to Dar Es Salaam and then a ferry to the island.
