Our Mount Kenya challenge is a 9-16 day adventure (including or excluding optional travel time after your climb).


The climb itself spans over 5 days of trekking taking you to the summit of Mount Kenya and back down again.

After a well-earned celebration and rest, you will get the unique opportunity to visit one of Dig Deep's local projects, to see the impact the funds you raised will have on schools and communities in Kenya.

After this, you have the opportunity to discover the wonders of East Africa for 6 full days. We work with our amazing local suppliers to organise top value packages for you to purchase including Safari and relaxing on the stunning beaches of Diani.


You then transfer back to Nairobi where you can catch your flight to return to the UK or you can choose to extend your adventure.

During Challenge

  • Accommodation a night either side of the challenge

Before Challenge

  • International flights to and from Kenya (approximately £600-£800 depending when you book them)

  • Visas ($51 USD)

  • Travel Insurance 

  • Personal medication/vaccinations

  • Travel to/from airport of departure in UK

  • Personal trekking clothing


During Challenge

  • Evacuation costs (in event of serious medical injury your travel insurance company will cover the costs and we provide policy recommendations to ensure you're covered for this)

  • Meals and drinks other than those mentioned

  • Tips and gratuities (porters: $90-$130)

  • Extension package costs after the climb

  • In country airport transfer if different to the group

  • Items of a personal nature such as souvenirs and telephone calls
